About SAHO

Learn about our mission, vision, and the dedicated team working to conserve Tanzania's biodiversity.

Our Mission

To conserve biodiversity across Tanzania through afforestation, research, environmental education, community capacity building, and advocacy for sustainable policies, fostering a future of ecological harmony and resilience.

Our Vision

A Tanzania where thriving ecosystems and empowered communities coexist sustainably, ensuring environmental health and human well-being for current and future generations.

Our Story

Founded in 2016, the Scientific Agri-Forest and Humanity Organization (SAHO) emerged from a deep concern for Tanzania's rapidly declining forest cover and biodiversity. Our founders recognized the urgent need for community-based conservation approaches that would benefit both the environment and local communities.

Starting with small-scale tree planting activities in Kibaha District, SAHO has grown into a comprehensive conservation organization implementing multiple initiatives across Pwani Region. Our work is guided by scientific research and community participation, ensuring sustainable and effective conservation outcomes.
